Rafal Mirocha is the country manager of Corroventa Osuszanie Sp. z o.o. The office is placed in Siemianowice Śląskie’ which is close to Katowice in southern Poland. Rafal has been working for Corroventa for over five years. Before that, he spent most of his professional life within the field of products for construction industry with over 10 years as Head of sales for the market leading concrete product manufacturer in Poland.

Can you describe a regular day at work?

It varies depending on whether it’s an office day or field trip day. I prefer the second one.

As for the field day I try to not only meet with customer but to get a full Water damage restoration experience. That’s why I usually insist on visiting some current projects. It’s usually beneficial for both customer and me as I have a chance to learn something new and share my thoughts and experiences.

Some days I also hold seminars, either at the Corroventa office or at the customers’ site. 

Do you have a special memory from your time at Corroventa?

My best memories of course come from our annual sales meetings where we get to meet our colleagues from all over Europe. We visited many nice places and had a great time in a very friendly based environment.

What is the best about your role and working for Corroventa?

Most importantly, I’m happy to work in the company where people are really engaged in what they’re doing. I know it may sound a bit like a cliche but Corroventa still doesn’t have a typical corporate feel, which is a great advantage. The second important thing is that I also meet a lot of great people within the water damage restoration industry in Poland and I am happy to work with many of them on a professional but friendly basis.

Can you name 3 things that people don’t know about you?

I’m passionate about music – it’s always been a part of my life. Another great passion is shooting and editing video footage and photography. In 2019 I have become a licenced VLOS Drone Operator for aircrafts up to 5 kg. 

I have a son who’s now experiencing his first year at the university outside of his hometown. My daughter will be attending high school next year.

I love travelling and had a chance to visit many places in the world.
